The Equipment
We successfully installed a 100kWp solar PV system at Ludlow Leisure Centre. The array consisted of 234 Longi allblack solar panels, mounted using 534 mini rail sections and secured with over 500 panel clamps. The system was connected using more than 2 kilometres of DC cabling, ensuring efficient energy transfer across the installation. The array is powered by a Solax 80kW X3 Forth inverter, which manages the system’s generation and performance.
Practicalities
Live monitoring is available both at our office and by the leisure centre’s staff, allowing for real-time system insights and performance tracking. The installation was carried out by our team of experienced, BPEC-qualified solar engineers, supported by our skilled apprentices. The project was completed smoothly and on schedule, taking less than four weeks from start to finish. This installation is a great example of how renewable energy can support public facilities in reducing their carbon footprint and energy costs.
